Important Dates

Monday, Dec 31 – Registration Opens for Returning Members Only**
Monday, Jan 7 – Registration Opens for New Members

Saturday 01/19 noon – deadline for new players and returning players who wish to be rated.
Please note that we have limited capacity to rate players for each division, and will close registration for that division as appropriate. We recommend registering for your rating session sooner than later.

Sunday 1/20 10:00 pm – registration closes for all members.
Returning members who aren’t challenging their rating, and recreational level players can sign up until this deadline.

Sunday 1/13 – ratings
6:30-8:00 • Intermediate and Power divisions
8:30-10:00 • Competitive and Power Plus divisions
No open play 01/13 due to courts needed for ratings. You must be registered to be rated.

Sunday 1/20 – ratings
5:30-7:00 • Intermediate and Power Plus divisions
7:00-8:30 • Competitive division
8:30-10:00 • Power division
Open play TBA based on courts needed for ratings. You must be registered to be rated.

Saturday 1/26 – kickoff party

Sunday 1/27 – round robin

Sunday 2/03 – no volleyball (superbowl)

Sundays 2/10 - 4/28 regular season
Play will run most weeks from approx 6-10 pm; will start at 4:30 a few weeks. Full schedule TBA.

Sunday 5/05 - playoffs
Sunday 5/12 - playoffs

The mission of the Steel City Volleyball League (SCVL) is to provide LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual, other sexualities) people along with LGBTQIA+ allies an opportunity to learn, play, and grow in the organized sport of recreational and competitive volleyball. Our volleyball league is open to adults regardless of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, livelihood, culture, race, religion, or ethnicity; and without regard for volleyball ability, skill, or experience. We are an inclusive league valuing the respect and dignity of others and, expect the same from anyone who would like to join our league.
