League

The Steel City Volleyball League has two official seasons. The Fall Season typically runs from September to December.  The Winter Season typically runs from January to May.

In the spring of 2018, our regular season games run between 5:30 and 9:30. Registration is $65 for one division, $95 for a second division; only returning players are eligible for two divisions. Student rate is $40 for one division, $70 for two.

During the summer we have unofficial pickup games for Recreational/Intermediate level play on Sunday’s at noon and ends when everyone has had enough volleyball or sunset, whichever comes first!  Competitive/Power level play, this is typically on Tuesdays at 6pm.  The nets are setup in the grass area near the Schenley Oval Sportsplex.  Look for updates about game play and weather cancellations on our Facebook Group.

The mission of the Steel City Volleyball League (SCVL) is to provide LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual, other sexualities) people along with LGBTQIA+ allies an opportunity to learn, play, and grow in the organized sport of recreational and competitive volleyball. Our volleyball league is open to adults regardless of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, livelihood, culture, race, religion, or ethnicity; and without regard for volleyball ability, skill, or experience. We are an inclusive league valuing the respect and dignity of others and, expect the same from anyone who would like to join our league.
